For a new user's account to be associated with your affiliate ID, they must reach the LinkMachine site for the first time by following your affiliate link. If they reach the LinkMachine site for the first time through a normal (non-affiliate) link or through a link for a different affiliate, and if they later reach the LinkMachine site by following your affiliate link, they will not be associated with your affiliate ID. Likewise if a new user reaches the LinkMachine site for the first time by following your affiliate link, and they later reach it by following a different affiliate's link, their account will nonetheless be associated with your affiliate ID.
To protect the integrity of the affiliate system, we cannot change the affiliate ID associated with any account after the account is created. In the future to refer someone to LinkMachine make sure that they follow your affiliate link the first time that they arrive at the LinkMachine site.
